Shop Kansas Farms is seeking a dynamic food-systems consultant to help us manage and grow the Sedgwick County Harvest Hub. This project will connect local growers, processors, and distributors in Sedgwick County.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of agriculture, community development and supply chain innovation, helping ensure more Kansas-grown food reaches Kansas families.
What is the Sedgwick County Harvest Hub?
The Harvest Hub is a regional food system project focused on three key components:
- Food production: farms, ranches and growers
- Food processing: processors, incubator kitchens, canneries, etc.
- Food distribution: getting local food to consumers
The Hub works to strengthen these connections through strategic planning, relationship-building and collaborative infrastructure solutions.
Who We’re Looking For
We're seeking a consultant or project manager in Sedgwick County with experience in:
- Food systems or agricultural supply chains
- Strategic partnerships or business development
- Community engagement and stakeholder collaboration
- Project planning and operations
This role will be instrumental in guiding the next phase of the Hub's growth, fostering partnerships with growers, food businesses, stakeholders, schools and local institutions.
