Description

I write historical westerns and children's books about animals. There are eleven novels in my Home on the Range series. That series begins in 1868 and ends in 1888.
I just released the first novel in my Uncivil War series. It begins on the border of Kansas and Missouri in 1863, so the Civil War has been fought for two years when the story begins. I include lots of history that is relevant to the novel in the prologue and then twist that history through the fiction of the story. All my books are available through my website: rosiebosse.com. Curly, the Orphan Calf was written in 2017 after the terrible fires in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. It is the first in a three-book series about a fictional calf who survived that fire. Curly, the Hero Cow as well as Curly and the Terrible Tornado stories were inspired by children who heard the first book! Some of the novel covers. One to two novels are released each year. As of November of 2025, 12 novels are available. Uno, the One-Eyed Warrior Kitten was released in October of 2025. This is Rosie's twelfth children's book.
