We're excited to host three marketing workshops in 2026!
The holiday season is here, and there’s no better way to celebrate than by supporting the hardworking farmers, ranchers and artisans who make Kansas special. This year, skip the big-box stores and explore the Shop Kansas Farms Christmas Catalog, a curated collection of locally grown, raised and crafted gifts that bring the heart of Kansas straight to your holiday celebrations.
The Border Queen Harvest Hub (BQHH) in Caldwell has been recognized as one of the 2025 Huck Boyd Leaders of the Year in the category of Business Development by the Huck Boyd National Institute for Rural Development. This prestigious award celebrates BQHH’s innovative efforts to strengthen local food systems and support rural entrepreneurship.
Led by Executive Director Dr. Jen Kern, the BQHH was created to connect local growers with consumers, promoting access to fresh, locally sourced foods.
The Sedgwick County Harvest Hub (SCHH) has hired Renee Elpers to lead the organization’s efforts to connect local growers, processors and distributors in Sedgwick County.
“I’m eager to help the Sedgwick County Harvest Hub connect farmers and consumers,” Elpers says. “I’m most excited about helping, whether it’s developing a new income stream for a farmer or seeing the education that comes from growers and consumers interacting with each other.”
We’re creating a virtual Christmas catalog that will spotlight Kansas growers and businesses making it easy for shoppers to find meaningful, locally sourced gifts for their loved ones. This festive project is designed to delight both consumers and producers by celebrating the best of Kansas agriculture and craftsmanship.
The Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson has a host of traditions from Pronto Pups to Ye Old Mill. In 2025, the 10-day festival featuring fried foods, Ferris wheels and farm animals will also serve as a showcase for growers from Shop Kansas Farms (SKF).
SKF vendors from around the state will offer their homegrown goods in a booth sponsored by Kansas Farm Bureau, which purchased SKF because of its mission to connect consumers with local food producers across the state.
Between alternating views of the U.S. Capitol and the Washington Monument on the National Mall, Shop Kansas Farms (SKF) offered a taste of Kansas-crafted foods to visitors at the inaugural Great American Farmers Market in Washington, D.C., during the first week of August.
Are you passionate about building stronger local food systems?
Shop Kansas Farms is seeking a dynamic food-systems consultant to help us manage and grow the Sedgwick County Harvest Hub. This project will connect local growers, processors, and distributors in Sedgwick County.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of agriculture, community development and supply chain innovation, helping ensure more Kansas-grown food reaches Kansas families.
We're seeking an experienced video production or marketing firm to create a short documentary-style video that highlights our newest Harvest Hub in Sedgwick County.
The video will showcase the local food system and introduce area growers and processors in Sedgwick County.
The project will include filming on-site interviews, capturing the farm-to-table process and producing content optimized for web and social media platforms.
For years, Kansas Farm Bureau (KFB) has had a presence at the Kansas State Fair. We have a popular booth space in the Pride of Kansas building.
