At Hedgewood Farms, our mission is to provide premium quality pastured poultry, pork and eggs, and 100% Grass-fed beef practicing humane and sustainable farming while following organic practices. We are passionate about providing families wholesome, high quality food that sustains the land and our bodies in the healthiest way possible. Our products have no hormones or antibiotics and we never rely on synthetic fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides. Instead, we rely on rotational grazing, poly-farming and strategic biodiversity to control weeds and soil quality. While not Certified Organic, we follow organic practices in everything we do on the farm.
Did you know cattle are ruminants? That is why our cattle are humanely raised and 100% grazed. Our cattle graze year-round and we practice management intensive rotational grazing because we believe it is best for the cattle and the soil and the food we eat.
Pastured poultry and pork are fed 100% organic supplemental grains. All of our poultry live in mobile chicken tractors and move across our pastures daily, feasting on cow patties, forage, and bugs while fertilizing our pastures at the same time. This makes for an extremely flavorful, great textured, healthy chicken for our customers. It builds the soil and benefits the eco-system. Our hogs forage freely in the woods in a natural setting and are healthy and happy there. They too are trained to electric fencing and rotationally grazed.
Egg laying hens are truly free-range and supplemental grains are 100% organic.
We sell individual retail cuts as well as sides of beef and pork. We offer a variety of options for chicken including whole chicken, 8-piece cut-up, packaged breast, thighs, wings, etc. We sell year-round. We offer eggs as well as produce from a small but growing market garden.
