Description
Quality beef is our family's passion at Plum Creek Ranch. We work daily with our cattle to ensure their health and well-being. Our mother cows and sires are selected based upon many factors, but most importantly they must have genetics for high marbling, tender meat. Our calves are Angus sired, and born on the ranch near Neosho Rapids. To preserve the tenderness and quality of the beef, we raise our cattle without additional hormones. Plum Creek cattle are pasture raised, all natural, and grain finished at 15 months of age. Our quality genetics and great care produce beef that consistently grades 100% Certified Angus Beef, and around 70% USDA Prime.
We process through three local lockers, Woodson County Prime Meats - Yates Center, Bichelmeyer Meats - KCK, and Olpe Locker. At each locker our beef is dry aged for 14-21 days; this is the last step in ensuring that the beef will express it's exceptional flavor and tenderness. We offer split-sides (1/4s), sides (1/2s), and whole beef. Beef is aged, cut per customer instructions, packaged and then available for pickup at the locker chosen.
