We offer chicken eggs and rabbit meat, sometimes bunny manure packaged in reused feed bags. Rabbit meat is sold processed and frozen whole unless otherwise requested. (Skinned, gutted, head/feet removed, washed)
We prefer contact via text or message the Facebook page listed (RedBarnFarm) for our services, but I'll answer calls if I'm available. Most orders include free delivery within 20 miles of Admire KS.
We take pride in the humane treatment of our animals. Our rabbits are kept in a colony setting where they can interact as they naturally do, with indoor insulated shelter and shade with nest boxes, and a large outdoor run where they can burrow and run. This style of keeping is less efficient as the exercise means they take longer to grow out, but we feel it's more humane than small cages and produces a healthier, leaner meat. They're larger and have more fat than wild rabbits, but more lean than most you can buy. They're fed pellet feed and Timothy hay, as well as yard trimmings and kitchen veggie scraps. The grow out process is usually 2+ weeks in a "rabbit tractor," a portable pen we move around the yard daily to give unlimited access to fresh grass, dandelion, and clover in our large unsprayed/untreated yard. We try to produce the best, most natural meat we can for our most selective customers.
